Practical Application: Because I can’t always get to a printing darkroom, especially while on the road, I’ve been obsessing the past 6months with leveling up my digital film scan process.

I’m fully aware, especially in the world of social media, I might be the only one to notice, but I’m so freakin pumped to have personally unlocked the next level in the game lately.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Here’s a nerdy example, the first photo is an old scan of a photo I took of @stardustok in Minneapolis last year.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The second photo is a new DSLR scan I made this morning. It’s hard to tell a difference unless you crop in and it’s only then that the gorgeousness of grain really shows. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It was a ton of nerding out to get to here… It won’t make me any more money… It won’t make me any more legit… it won’t get me any more gigs… Very few people will notice in the future… you probably wouldn’t have noticed, unless I pointed it out… But freakin love it, and it makes the things around me just that much more beautiful.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
